Feature Requests

Feature requests should be reported on our repository on GitHub in the issue tracker. Please search existing issues first to avoid duplicates.

Bug Reports

Bug reports should be reported on our repository on GitHub in the issue tracker. Please provide as much information as possible such as platform, version of Halloy and steps to produce.

Patches / Pull Requests

All patches have to be sent on GitHub as pull requests.

Should you wish to work on an issue, please leave a comment on it or let us know on ircs://irc.libera.chat/#halloy in order to claim the issue. Significant new features, especially those not specified by IRCv3, should be discussed before submission to ensure they fit with the project.

If you are looking for a place to start contributing, take a look at the easy issues.

Documentation

Any settings added in a pull request should be described in the markdown used to generate the documentation website. Pull requests to improve or expand on existing documentation are welcome.

AI

AI-generated content is not allowed in contributions. This includes code, documentation, issues, PR descriptions, and comments. AI tools may be used for research, learning, or bug discovery, but all submitted content must be written and understood by the contributor.
